We follow the Henry County DOE school schedule with a few minor differences.
Our school is accredited through ACSI Association of Christian Schools International and by Cognia (formerly known as SACS). Our policy is to hire teachers with a degree. Our teachers participate in monthly professional development and all teachers are on a professional learning plan.
Tuition rates vary depending on the grade level and any additional programs or services offered. Please click on the link for the current tuition rates (insert link to tuition prices)
Tuition rates cover the cost of instruction, access to school facilities, textbooks, field trips, and athletic participation.
Tuition can be paid over 10 months, 12 months, or with 1 payment. If paying in full, you will receive a 3 to 5% discount depending on the form of payment.
Additional costs can include but are not limited to lunch, yearbook, P.E. uniforms, chapel shirt, graduation fees, middle and high school retreat, club memberships, athletic spirit wear, delinquent account fees, and early withdrawal fees.
We currently accept the AAA scholarship, GA GOAL, Georgia Promise Voucher and the Arete scholarship. We also offer financial aid through the FACTS management system. Financial aid is offered on a first come, first serve basis. You must apply through FACTS and they will determine eligibility and amount. View our Financial Aid page for more information.
MAP testing is done multiple times throughout the year to measure progress and growth, with three testing windows in the fall, winter, and spring.
MAP testing is conducted electronically on Chromebooks rather than using traditional pencil and paper methods.
MAP testing provides immediate scoring and feedback to the teachers, which can be used right away in the classroom and shared with parents.
The test is adaptive, meaning that the difficulty level of the questions adjusts based on how well a student is answering, providing a more personalized assessment for each student.
We primarily use curriculum from Christian publishers such as BJU Press, Abeka, Positive Action, & Summit. We use an Orton Gillingham based phonics program.
We provide a Christ-centered educational environment with weekly chapel services, daily Bible lessons, Bible stories, songs, verse memorization, prayer time, and celebrations of seasonal themes and holidays.
We focus on literacy skills and foundations for reading, including phonological awareness, letter recognition, print awareness, vocabulary development, narrative skills, phonemic awareness, emergent writing, read-alouds, environmental print, and play-based learning. Lessons are differentiated through small group and reading group instruction.
Students explore various math concepts, including counting, number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, sorting and classifying, patterns, shapes, measurement, spatial awareness, basic addition and subtraction, counting by tens, time concepts, money awareness, graphing, and problem-solving.
Social Studies and Science lessons connect to real-life experiences, covering topics like family and community, cultural awareness, community helpers, maps, globes, and weather exploration. Hands-on learning includes nature walks, sensory exploration, simple experiments, planting seeds, animal awareness, and activities involving the five senses.
Students engage in thematic center room play and small group activities focused on numbers, letters, social studies, and science, enhancing their learning experience through interactive play.
We incorporate daily outdoor play (weather permitting) and indoor movement activities to help develop gross motor skills.
Students participate in weekly classes for computers, library, music, art, and P.E., along with in-school field trips to broaden their learning experiences.
Daily Bible instruction teaches students about God, His plan through Jesus Christ, and how to apply Biblical truths in their lives. Weekly chapel includes praise and worship and an age-appropriate speaker.
Media and technology are used to enhance lessons but do not replace traditional learning tools like textbooks, paper, and pencils.
We have 177 students enrolled currently, with space still available.
We have a Learning Solution Center that supports students needing extra help, available for an additional fee. Our teaching staff also offer before-school help classes for students needing "light touch" assistance.
Our MAP scores in all three grades improved last year from where they began.
There are four homerooms for each grade, and all of our teaching staff have prior teaching experience.
We offer spiritual retreats for 7th and 8th grade. Additionally, 8th graders participate in a Spring Break trip to Washington, D.C
CCA has developed a schedule that includes challenging academics, exploratory classes, and study hall. Students switch classes, exchange teachers, and interact with different student groups throughout the day.
Seventh and eighth graders attend a 3-day spiritual emphasis retreat each fall, and middle school students are encouraged to join numerous after-school clubs and sports that complement their academic and spiritual growth.
